Promoting best-practice in Healthcare Waste Management

Preliminary findings from our recent studies have shown that the rate of compliance to best practice in Healthcare Waste Management in Nigeria is significantly below average. The image above was taken from a major teaching hospital in Nigeria and shows poor practice and potentially dangerous practice.

To demonstrate our commitment to change and reform in practice, our consultants are currently supporting the first cohort of selected University Teaching Hospitals in Nigeria in developing best-practise framework and protocols for waste management. This project is in addition to our on-going engagement with the Federal Ministry of Health to influence national health policy is this area.
